i was speaking online to dave who runs www.formbet.com and we were talking about systems,so i thought i would write a quick chapter on using my systems and what ones are the best.
as with most systems you can get alot of selections when using speed and handicap figures,so i will explain which ones are the most profitable and which ones to avoid.
with the speed system we have a 1st,2nd and 3rd rated and when you look at the results i have to include all 3 in this system, but with evidence from my database it is pretty obvious that not all 3 perform well, only two figures out strips the rest and this is the 1st rated speed figure and the 3rd rated speed figure, so by just using the 1st and 3rd rated you can easily reduce the bets by 33.33% but you also get the profits from the best performing figures (see table below).
with the handicap figure the 100 figure works best on all tracks apart from wolverhampton were the highest handicap figure does the best.
with the jockey system i use joe fanning and david probert in all aw races in season under 1m2f races, but exclude david from southwell as he performs bad here
our record breaker system should be used when the yellow colour highlights a horse with in the top 3 speed figures and is a very profitable system.i do not change my times at all and this shows a horse who has ran past the course record and is superior to all other horses in its finishing time
now sometimes you may look at a race and notice alot of selections from different systems, the key here is to look at the horse which comes up in multiple systems. if they dont then quite simply leave this race and move on.
i would erge anyone who is serious about racing to start your own database you use a online database to help you with your systems and selections,as suggested dave at formbet is a hard one to beat with around 4500 points from 10 months ,www.horseracebase.com is a subscription online database and is extremley powerfull and is a great extra tool in your arsenal.

I would just like to say that I can vouch for the 3rd rated horses - I back all 3rd rated horses in all AW meetings and make a good profit (it is my 2nd best profit making system) - thats very much Matt for all the hard work you put in it is very much appreciated
