how to use my speed figures
I first started using speed as my choice after trying several systems on the internet, speed alone does not pick out a winner but it does give you an indication of the horses capabilities over a certian course and distance.
Distance in my view is very important, once established you can easily see a horses prefered distance and its speed in a mathmatical figure
I calculate the length time for each individual race instead of using the average of 0.20 seconds per length
Then i create two speed figures, the first reflects the position using 100 as first place and deducting the beaten lenghts in real time., the second figure is produced using the racing posts standard times and is the main speed figure i use
I then created my own going allowance which i use at the all weather tracks, this is needed as with fast and slow times you will need a allowance as this will compensate this problem, with out an allowance your speed figures will become quite unhelpfull in the long run.
I use three speed figures in every race,1st rated is green,2nd rated is amber and the 3rd rated is red.i bet all three e/w and the system results reflect this method.
I have a few filters which i use to keep the losses low and the profits high.
Rule 1. only bet on horses which are evens and above, if you do like to bet on evens and below then win only as the place will always return a loss if it places.
Rule 2 (mainly on sp) only bet to win on horses up to 66/1. no horses above this as to date have ever won, 66/1 has been the highest winner. so i bet place only on any horses above 66/1.
Rule 3 .if less than 6 runners no more than two figures should be used(handicap), and in 6 or more runners no more than 3 figures...if the race does not fit the above criteria then leave this race and move on to the next..
Rule 4 (handicap) if no horse has a rating of 100 or over then again discard this race and move on

CORRECT WIEGHT FOR ITS CLASS,AND THE HIGHEST FIGURE SHOWS YOU THE BEST HANDICAP HORSE FOR ITS RACE.
at wolverhampton the highest handicap figure is the best one to use.

I LOOK AT THE TOP 4/5 HORSES AND WORK IN THAT AREA, I THEN LOOK FOR TOP AVERAGE SPEED WITH GOOD HANDICAP MARKS WHICH ARE SHOWING
ATLEAST A PROFIT AND DOESNT HAVE A VERY HIGH ALLOWANCE FIGURE WHICH INDICATES A SLOW RACE LTO.
SPEED= TOP THREE
ALLOWANCE=THAT THE FIGURE IS NOT VERY HIGH WITH A VERY LOW SPEED FIGURE MEANS A VERY SLOW RACE WAS RAN LTO
HANDICAP= TOP FIGURE AND THE 100 FIGURE

my ratings can be found on my web page under a click here link which opens our excel spreedsheet.
the ratings are listed in race order, the horses are in ratings order.so the top horse in the list is the fastest or best rated and it decends in order.
next to the horses name is the lr figures which show the last run ratings.the tol lr figure is the fastest on its last run.
we look for two things when looking for a rated selection,for the singles i look at the highest lr figure from its last 3 runs as well as a high lr figure which is placed near the top of the list..
for our combination forecast bets we look at the top two in the list as well as the top lr rated from its last run and place them in combination forecasts..this is the most profitable way of making a good level of profits when using my figures.

my handicap figures can only be found on our all weather cards and is a system which can be obtained on our system purchase pages, we have a little spreedsheet available which allows you to quickly produce our exclusive handicap figures for your race card.
the handicap system looks at certain weights in class races and returns a handicap figure, it not only shows you which horses have the best weight but also which horse is carrying what we class as the best weight in its class race..
